The Institute of Automation and Applied Informatics (IAI) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) conducts research into innovative information, automation and system technologies for sustainable energy systems. The focus is on energy networks, regenerative systems and energy saving. Complete system solutions are developed in interdisciplinary teams, from design and simulation to industrial testing. The IAI works closely with industry, administration and international research institutions and is involved in numerous EU and national projects and standardization committees.
