Wastewater evaporator

VACUDEST the effective wastewater evaporator

Wastewater evaporator systems have been established on the market as the most economical method for the processing of a big variety of different industrial wastewaters. It is a viable alternative to the disposal of wastewater with specialized waste management companies or other processing methods. Using our innovative state of the art VACUDEST wastewater evaporator you can separate clean water from your industrial wastewater. Thus you reduce the volume of your wastewater and respectively your waste management cost up to 99 percent. The treated water can be recycled to the manufacturing process creating a zero liquid discharge production.

Nowadays, in almost every industrial sector environmentally dangerous wastewater is produced, which is not allowed to be disposed of into the public sewer system:

Energy recycling

Wastewater evaporator with energy recycling provides for cost efficiency

Energy is an expensive production resource. To save energy we've relied since 1986 on the energy efficient process of direct vapor recompression. The industrial wastewater is evaporated under a slight vacuum. This reduces the boiling temperature of the water. The emerging steam is compressed to ambient, normal pressure and heated up by means of a vapor compressor. The energy of the hot steam is recycled to evaporate the wastewater. Due to the energy recycling in the waste water evaporator no additional evaporation energy is required. The electrical motor of the vapor compressor is the sole energy consumer in the wastewater evaporator system. Thus the VACUDEST wastewater evaporator has an energy efficiency of 95 percent.

Bodycote

Bodycote relies on zero liquid discharge production

During improvement of microstructures of materials such as metals and alloys industrial wastewater is generated. Standard process for the treatment of such wastewater is neutralization and ion-exchange. The treated water is then disposed of into the public sewer system. Due to economic and ecological reasons Bodycote decided to replace this conventional treatment by a modern vacuum distillation system, achieving a zero liquid discharge heat treatment process.
