Added Value from_CO2!

With the combined Novis process, we’re creating added value from_CO2 emissions for medium-sized companies for the first time. 

To this end, we supply systems capable of extracting up to 3,000 metric tons_{of CO2} per year from a company’s flue gas or other point sources. The_CO2 can also be liquefied for easier storage and transport.

In addition, we supply companies with bioreactors that use the captured_CO2 (_CO2 is food for the algae!) and any available surplus electricity (such as from non-grid-connected PV generation) to produce algae. Novis GmbH then purchases the algae-based biomass from these companies at a fair price. The biomass is then processed into other products at Novis’s own production facility—products such as proteins, alcohols, lipids, or fuels.

What if a company doesn’t want to produce algae? In that case, we purchase the liquid CO2 from that company and use it for our own algae cultivation.

And if the company wants to process the algae itself? Then it “only” orders the_CO₂ systems and, if necessary, the photobioreactors for algae production.
