Services
Testing, analysis and characterization
Whether it's the development of new products, quality assurance or damage to components, fem has all the necessary testing methods available for examining material and coating properties. These include tensile and compression tests, tribological tests, hardness measurements, corrosion and weathering tests, chemical analyses, 3D X-ray computed tomography, scanning electron microscopy and much more.
Around 200 test and inspection procedures are accredited at fem in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. In addition, fem is an approved testing laboratory for Volkswagen test specifications, Mercedes-Benz standards (MBN) and Daimler-Benz delivery specifications (DBL), testing institute of the Gütegemeinschaft Schwerer Korrosionsschutz (GSK), the Qualitätsgemeinschaft GSB and the Verband für die Oberflächenveredelung von Aluminium e.V. (VOA) for the QUALICOAT, QUALIDECO, QUALANOD and QUALSTRIP quality marks.
