Arteus Energy GmbH

Arteus Energy is a project developer and operator of renewable energy plants based in Karlsruhe, Germany, which has built up a German multi-megawatt development portfolio since its foundation in 2022. Around half of this portfolio is accounted for by battery storage systems, the other half by agrivoltaic systems.

The core of the business model is the development, realization and long-term operation of agrivoltaic systems and battery storage systems - including planning, approval, financing and grid connection. Arteus Energy assumes the role of project developer and operator and sells the electricity generated directly to companies, municipalities and energy suppliers via long-term supply contracts.

In the Agri-PV sector, Arteus Energy focuses on solutions that combine agriculture and energy generation on the same land. This allows farmers to continue farming their land while generating additional income through leasing. The systems protect crops from heat, heavy rain and hail, reduce evaporation and thus improve climate adaptation in agriculture. For operators and electricity customers, the result is reliable, regional green electricity that strengthens acceptance of the energy transition in rural areas.

The supplementary battery storage projects increase system stability and enable renewable energy to be provided flexibly over time. In this way, Arteus Energy is helping to reduce grid bottlenecks, smooth load peaks and further increase the share of renewable energy in the energy system - for a secure, economical and sustainable energy supply in Germany.
