Information
We’re shaping the energy transition for a future worth living. With the region. In the region.
Badenova Erneuerbare is a wholly owned subsidiary of Badenova AG & Co. KG. Since our founding in 2024, the planning, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects have been our core business. Throughout the entire market area between the Upper Rhine and the Northern Black Forest, we work both independently and on behalf of and in collaboration with our customers and partner companies.
Services
With Badenova Erneuerbare’s photovoltaic systems, you can make the most of your space! We offer customized PV systems for large roof areas, open spaces, parking lots, building facades, and quarry ponds—and we’re happy to combine them with energy storage solutions upon request. As a company with strong regional roots, we’re here for you and would be happy to advise you on which solution is right for you.
We plan, build, and operate photovoltaic systems and serve as your expert partner from project development through commissioning and beyond. We’d be happy to advise you on how to use your space profitably and sustainably.
System Lease: You lease a system and use the electricity it generates.
System Purchase: You operate your own system and use the electricity it generates.
Land leasing: You receive a secure lease income for your land.
Direct electricity purchase: You purchase renewable electricity at attractive prices.
Wind is everywhere—we turn it into energy for you: Withbadenova, not only does the value created remain in the region, but we also always plan, build, and operate our projects in close collaboration with local communities and stakeholders both on-site and throughout the region. In doing so, we seek sustainable solutions that take nature conservation and species protection into account just as much as the concerns of the local community.

Solar Power for Your Space
Your space can do more—whether it’s a parking lot, farmland, open field, or commercial roof, we develop customized solutions for various types of spaces, even beyond traditional rooftop or facade PV systems :
Agricultural and open-space PV: With passion and expert knowledge, we are committed to reorienting the regional energy supply. This requires creating innovative and forward-looking solutions that enable the widespread expansion of renewable energy. Agriculture offers significant land potential that can be optimally utilized for renewable electricity production.
Parking Lot PV: We are passionately committed—drawing on all our expert knowledge—to finding smart and innovative solutions to successfully advance the energy transition. Photovoltaics make sense not only in the traditional settings of roofs and facades, but also on parking lots. Especially in urban, densely populated areas, where space is scarce and expensive, this is a smart and forward-looking solution.
Floating PV: In floating PV, PV systems are installed on artificial lakes. PV modules are mounted on floating structures—so-called “floating boats”—and are firmly anchored. These are assembled into a system in a modular fashion according to the size and shape of the lake. As a classic example of dual use, floating PV helps alleviate competition for land use and opens up additional space for the energy transition.
Battery Storage: More Than Just Solar Energy—We’re Storing the Future
Our goal is to offer you a complete solution, including project development, coordination, and implementation. Whether you want to expand your photovoltaic system or use battery storage to sell electricity—we have the right solution for you.
Stand-alone: These battery storage systems are standalone energy storage units that draw power directly from the grid and feed it back into the grid.
Co-location: Co-located battery storage systems share the grid connection and can optimize renewable energy systems, increase their efficiency, and trade electricity independently.
Industrial Storage: Industrial storage systems are flexible storage solutions tailored to your business.
Projects
SC Freiburg Stadium
With a capacity of 2.4 MW, badenova installed a high-performance solar roof on the roof of the Europa-Park Stadium.
Eichelbuck:
Freiburg’s flagship solar project is the ground-mounted solar power plant at the former Eichelbuck landfill, which began operations in 2011. The facility, which covers an area equivalent to 2.5 soccer fields, is a joint project between badenova and the Freiburg Waste Management and City Cleaning Authority (ASF).
Vino-PV at Tuniberg:
The joint project between Badenova and Gsun GmbH demonstrates that innovative solutions can be implemented to advance the expansion of photovoltaic systems. As a result, agriculture, the vines, and the wine all benefit from the dual use of the land.
