Information
The fischer group is the world's leading supplier of longitudinally welded stainless steel tubes and components. The group of companies manufactures products that go beyond the standard to meet individual customer requirements. The entire process - from slit strip to the manufacture of complex components - is controlled and continuously developed. In addition to the production of hydrogen-carrying tubes, Fischer manufactures metal hydride storage tanks and compressors for storing hydrogen. The fischer group is also involved in the development of high-performance battery storage systems. Furthermore, fischer is a supplier of prismatic battery cell cans for automotive applications.
Services
H2 solid storage/metal hydride storage
The hydrogen storage modules are available in two sizes. The storage units with 3 kg and 45 kg storage capacity can be modularly expanded into larger hydrogen storage units. The materials used in the storage system are easy to handle, recyclable and require comparatively little energy to produce. The modular design enables the realization of storage systems with any desired hydrogen capacity. In addition, no ATEX zone is induced around the hydrogen storage tanks, which facilitates many projects and applications. The safest way to store hydrogen.
When larger quantities of stored hydrogen are required, the best solution is often a containerized solution. GRZ offers containerized hydrogen storage solutions between 45 and 180 kgH2 storage capacity. Our DASH C-series comes with an electric HVAC system to enable the desired flow rates. Depending on the required amount of hydrogen to be stored, the system is integrated into a 10ft ISO or a 20ft ISO container. If higher storage capacities are required in a limited space, several containers can be stacked on top of each other.
Products
Prismatic battery cell cups
With our proven roll forming technology, we are able to produce battery cell housings with flexible geometries, lengths and very small corner radii. Additional features such as embossing, notches or punched holes for venting functions, for example, can be realized in the process. Roll forming offers high-volume production with the highest quality and lowest costs for aluminum or stainless steel. Very thin wall thicknesses down to 0.3 mm can be realized.
- Flexible selection of materials: stainless steel, aluminum, ...
- Wall thicknesses down to 0.3 mm
- Flexible geometries and "infinite" lengths
- Efficient cutting/separating process
- Very tight corner radii
- Sustainable manufacturing process with high cleanliness standards

Immersion-cooled battery systems
The Alesso battery system - a battery for special challenges
The robust mechanical design of the module allows it to be used even under harsh conditions. The all-aluminum housing in combination with the stable cell holder reduces the effects of external forces such as vibration or deformation. This distinguishes us as a battery manufacturer for off-highway vehicles. The direct contact of the cooling medium of the immersion cooling with the battery cells enables a homogeneous temperature distribution within the battery system. It is also possible to heat the system in order to achieve a longer service life, a higher number of cycles and increased system safety for the lithium-ion battery. Design safety is increased by slowing down thermal propagation within the battery modules. The design and material of the innovative cell holder maximize the electrical insulation in the module and reduce the risk of an internal short circuit. Individual monitoring of the cell blocks in combination with the battery management system (BMS) developed in-house and a highly reliable cell data acquisition module contribute significantly to the maximum safety of the battery system. The electrical design of the battery modules enables flexible serial and parallel connection. Mechanically, the modules can be arranged and connected in different layers and positions. The battery system can therefore be scaled in terms of different voltage levels and capacities.
