The VW plant in Emden (East Frisia) wants to save 190,000 tons of climate-damaging CO2 by 2035. To this end, VW has drawn up an energy supply concept with the GP JOULE CONSULT team. The concept analyzes and models what a renewable supply of heat, electricity and hydrogen could look like at the Emden site. The focus is on the economic components and technical feasibility.

Using the AI-based digital twin, we were able to visualize and then evaluate various scenarios. GP JOULE's expertise in all areas of the energy value chain has opened up the Emden plant's view of different technologies and made it transparent."

Kappeln in the Schleswig-Flensburg district of Schleswig-Holstein is one of the pioneers in municipal heating planning in Germany. Together with GP JOULE CONSULT and Zeiten°Grad, Kappeln is developing a municipal heating plan that shows ways and means of achieving the legally prescribed goal of a climate-neutral heat supply by 2045. The aim is to identify and calculate Kappeln's potential for using renewable energies to supply heat, taking into account the specific local conditions. And to do so economically, efficiently and in a socially responsible manner.
